Garden Yoga

We're really excited to be hosting four special yoga sessions in the māra this summer. Join us to stretch your limbs and find serenity in the garden on Thursday 11th, 18th, 25th Jan and 1st February. 5:30pm - 6:30pm. These sessions will be run by one of lovely volunteers Cath, and will be gentle hatha inspired classes suitable for all experience levels. Because of limited space registrations are essential! Register for individual classes, or for all four, by emailing community@kaicycle.org.nz. Please bring your own mat, warm layers, and a cash koha ($10 reccommended). This slower paced hatha inspired class will focus on mobility and finding stillness in postures and will include a five minute meditation. Cath is one of volunteers who spent time with us from returning overseas where she completed he 200 Yoga Teacher Training. Finding serenity in nature is important to her and she's so thrilled to facilitate this for others at Kaicycle

Seeds to Feeds: Seed and Seedling Swaps

We are stoked to be teaming up with Seeds to Feeds this summer to bring you a range of Seed and Seedling Swaps all over Pōneke. Swapping seeds and seedlings is a great way of increasing the circularity and resilience of our food system and meeting cool people. We’re going to be doing a bit of delving into seed saving too, so watch this space! All the information about these (and other amazing community kai) events, can be found on the Seeds to Feeds website.

Poetry in the māra

We are delighted to be hosting an evening of homegrown poetry at Kaicycle Urban Farm this summer. Bring your picnic (including picnic blanket or deckchairs) and settle in to enjoy as five Pōneke poets weave their words amongst the māra. This is an inclusive event and is suitable for all ages. Kaicycle farm is wheelchair accessible. Tickets will be available at the gate for $10. Please bring cash. As this is an outdoors event it is subject to the weather. The rain date will be Thursday 22nd Feb, and any wet weather updates will be provided through the event on Facebook. If in doubt email our Community Manager Rose at community@kaicycle.org.nz

Local Food Week Picnic and Seed Swap

Come hang out in Wellington's one and only urban farm to share some kai and chat all things gardening and local food resilience. Bring a picnic blanket, kai to share, and a plate, cup and cutlery. Bonus points if your kai contains something that is locally grown! We'll also be facilitating a seed swap so bring any seeds you may have to share. Bring your friends, flatmates and tamariki. This event is weather dependent.
