With myriad global crises unfolding, we need urgent climate action and community solutions more than ever. However, in the current funding climate, resourcing for projects like Kaicycle is becoming more and more scarce.
Our small but dedicated team of part-time staff rely on the generosity of small and large donations, bequests and grants to keep our māra running - growing nutritious food for those in need in the community, donating compost to community growing projects, advocating for a sustainable and resilient local food system, educating young and old on growing food in ways that is good for the whenua, and providing a hopeful vision for the future. We operate as a not-for-profit enterprise with our food scrap collection services generating income to support our composting mahi. However, we are still reliant on external funding, and generous community members like yourselves, to keep our urban farm, education programmes, and community engagement happening.

We need your support to continue our mahi & vision to regenerate Wellington!
If you have the means, please  consider becoming a regular donor to Kaicycle - one of our valued Farm Whānau members.

In healthy soil, every creature has a vital role to play, regardless of size. As our supporters you are our soil food web, providing the foundation for flourishing and growth and the essential resources we need to keep doing our mahi. Every contribution helps us greatly, no matter how big or small!

$5 provides a packet of seeds to grow kai for our community, $15 lets us turn a bucket of food scraps into compost, $25 allows us to donate 40L of compost to a community group, $100 enables us to host a school group for an educational experience at our urban farm.

As recognition of your valuable support as a Farm Whānau member (regular donor), you will receive:

  • A bi-monthly update email from us

  • An invite to our seasonal soup lunch for supporters. This is a great chance to see what we’ve been doing, share some, kai and ask any questions you may have. These lunches will be hosted on Friday afternoons.

  • An invite to an annual online impact meeting with our Governance Group

  • Free attendance at any Kaicycle workshop

  • As acknowledgement of your contribution, we can also add your name to the donor’s page on our website. You can opt in or out of this when you sign up to make a regular donation.
