This event is hosted as part of Climate Festival Pōneke 2026.

Join us at Kaicycle Urban Farm to learn how to regenerate the whenua and take climate action in your backyard!

This will be a hands-on working bee where you'll have the chance to get your hands in the dirt and take some tangible climate action, while learning some great regenerative growing skills on the way.

Tasks will depend on what needs doing on the day, but these might include weeding, planting out, building compost piles, and planting seeds. Our hard mahi will be followed by a shared lunch so please bring some kai to share if you can! This working bee will be followed by a koha composting workshop at 1pm.

Come along for as much or as little of the day as you would like!
