Composting 101

Registration required, please email community@kaicycle.org.nz to sign up.

Learn how to take climate action with your food scraps, make great compost, and keep the rodents away! Composting done responsibly creates a great resource for your garden while reducing your household waste, carbon emissions, and protecting native species. We’ll kōrero different types of composting and what might suit, what can and can’t go in, and do a bit of compost troubleshooting. This workshop will answer your composting questions, including what composting set up would be best for you, and how to make sure you’re not attracting rats. Suitable for beginner and experienced composters alike.

This is a koha workshop and we ask you to pay what you can afford. If that’s a gold coin that is completely fine! If you can afford more we really appreciate it - we are a charity and rely on donations to be able to carry out our mahi. Koha can be paid in cash or by bank transfer.
