Save the date!
We're celebrating 10 years of Kaicycle Urban Farm and Composting and we'd love our community to join us.

Te Reo Māori in the māra: Kōrero at Kaicycle
It's Te Wiki o te Reo Māori!
For this volunteer session, come along and help out on the māra and give te reo Māori a go.
We'll have some areas in the māra / garden where we speak te reo Māori only, and others where English is allowed - so, whatever your reo Māori level, come along to kōrero, learn some useful phrases in the māra and share a kapu tī and keke (cup of tea and cake).
We may even play Tākaro taiao edition (if it's not too windy)!
The kaimahi / workers at Kaicycle are learning too, so there's no pressure, we'll all be muddling through! Karawhiua - give it a go!
Please note, we have bees on site.
Registrations required - register at www.kaicycle.org.nz/volunteer
Matariki Celebration @ Kaicycle Urban Farm
You're warmly invited to join in celebrating Matariki with Kaicycle on Sunday 22nd June. This event will take place at Kaicycle Urban Farm, 5 Hospital Road, Newtown, and will be weather dependent.
Join us from 11am to harvest from the māra and prepare kai for our community lunch.
Join us at 1pm for our community lunch. Kai will be provided but please bring some to share if you have the capacity. We'll share food together, reflect on the year, farewell those we have lost since last Matariki, and look forward to what we want to bring into the new year.
We'd love for you to join us and help us celebrate this important time of reflection, community, and looking to the future.
Keep an eye on the Facebook event for weather related updates close to the time!
