Make Your Own Organic Fertiliser

  • Kaicycle Urban Farm 5 Hospital Road Wellington, Wellington, 6021 New Zealand (map)

Registration essential, please register using the calendar link below

In this workshop we’ll talk all things plant nutrition and how we can use the resources at hand to make our own excellent and cheap organic fertilisers!

What is a fertiliser? How do organic fertilisers differ from those used in conventional practices? Why are synthetic fertlisers so destructive to our ecosystems? What are environmentally friendly alternatives? If these are questions you’ve asked this workshop is definitely for you.

In this practical workshop we’ll look at how we can keep our systems local and circular and use the resources on hand to give our gardens everything they need. We’ll practice making some of these fertilisers and tonics and you can take some away with you to try out on your own garden! BYO Jar/bottle.

This is a koha workshop and we ask you to pay what you can afford. If that’s a gold coin that is completely fine! If you can afford more we really appreciate it - we are a charity and rely on donations to be able to carry out our mahi. Koha can be paid in cash or by bank transfer. We recommend $20 if this is something you can afford.
